we are playbase

Our online courses teach you about the development of young children. Our courses are also a great way to learn basic digital skills for work, life and study.

Whether you're a mum, dad, carer or playworker, learning all about play makes life better for you and the children you look after.

We always have the interests of our students at heart. We are independent and voluntary.

we run online courses

Our child development training ranges from introductory courses to qualifications that could help you start a childcare career. We can also run short courses in subjects from storytelling to understanding children under three.

We create a safe online space for people to learn and build their knowledge, skills and confidence. Our students can use their new skills and knowledge straightaway at home to help their children learn and play.

Online tutors are there to respond to students' needs and interests, tailoring courses and suggesting routes for progression . Our training support worker is also there for anyone who needs a bit of extra help.

We keep our costs low and offer special rates for people who receive benefits and a free course for asylum seekers.

people say nice things about us

This course delivers professional information about child development. I think that parents or anyone who wants to understand and support the development of children would really benefit from this course. There is lots of flexibility in the course and the tutor is very helpful. This is a fantastic course and I have really enjoyed it! I will be carrying on to the next level.

The app suggests quality play activities that parents, grandparents and carers can use to help their children learn through play. You can search by category, keyword, go for a lucky dip, see the most popular and save your favourites to your account. It is also available as a web app meaning you can access it on any device with an internet browser.
